Hello everyone! Thanks for visiting the Manchester Fire and Rescue page. My name is Charles Weaver. I am the fire and rescue chief here in Manchester, KY. I am the 10th chief to lead the Manchester Fire Department since it was organized in 1938. We will be celebrating our 60th anniversary this year. Our fire department continues to grow each day as our city continues to grow. Our city population is about 1800. We are governed by our Mayor and 6 city council members. Mayor White is a Mayor that looks out for the best interest of the citizens of Manchester. We also have 6 council members that work to make Manchester a better place to live and work. We would be nothing without our city leaders. We currently occupy city hall with the city clerk, city police, water dept., and our dispatch center. Clay county and Manchester will get 911 within the next year. With this new dispatch center coming we will probably be moving our fire statiion to a new location and new building to allow for renovation of the new 911 center. We would like to invite everyone to visit our city and county.
