Guy's Workshop
So what are these pages going to bring over time – only 5 megabytes to work with and what can we get done is such a small space these days..... Observations on that later...
What will it be for the next set of activities???
Here is the Home !!!
Need to work on gutters, back door, and the TV/Radio reception – along with that exposed concrete block base. But it is home....
Here is my Best Friend !!!
Lets put it this way – has been 23 years since we decided to marry – and there have been ups and downs. Yet, I know I am blessed and have more in this life because of Carol. Just a public tribute to let her see that I am proud of what we have accomplished. Better yet, the life is not over yet.
Thank you again - Guy
Here are the kids !!! {Go Kids Go!!!}

Kids – many people look at kids as being a problem in a family. Is one reason I know several couples that have not had kids – sure they have bigger houses – and maybe a little money in the bank. I am blessed with the above two kids. Kyle has already achieved a Technicians Level Ham license – and is learning to be more. Alyssa works on the organizational skills – and is one smart cookie - I know that it is difficult to keep up with her – chess club, Junior Beta Club, Archery, and Band. I hope she gets her Technicians license also – and she is working on it as the days go by. If you see these two – encourage them.... For that matter – if you see any kids – encourage them to develop more. They do live in challenging times.

What bothers me about the above project. Half of Anderson County Kentucky cannot afford the loadings that Broadband access and the support structures {computers – operating systems – and the pricing for access to the “Internet Community”. This page and information is maintained by a Linux Operating system and Open Office 2 – both are Open Source and freely available to the community. At home – the computers have been literally picked up out of the trash from recycling organizations – and one configuration with a CDROM and a 512 megabyte jump drive is capable of addressing many issues of internet browsing, word processing, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Web page development, and text messages. {for a cost of about $20 {that would get you 1 gigabyte of storage – and the price keeps dropping}. Amazes me that people are not exploring that option. Over half of the infrastructure is in the hardware – operating system – and applications. Under Linux – the Operating system and applications that most people use are already free. Below is an email link – and will be happy to point out directions that allow people to cut those costs to become connected. {What I really wish is that I could set up a non-profit that could roll out internet connectivity to those that cannot afford the $60 to $100 a month for internet access – with half of Anderson Co at under $25,000 per year before taxes – they simply cannot afford the “connectivity”}.
